France Shipping Policy

Out of every virtue that we strongly believe in at GemPundit, the one that stands out the most is our will to strive as hard as possible to ensure customer satisfaction. We have always been absolutely transparent with our customers be it any avenue from sales, support, and even shipping.
We treat all our customers with the same respect and hospitality regardless of the order being domestic or international. That being said, there are some shipping policies that we would like to make our customers from France aware of. Kindly read through below for a better understanding.
We want our French customers to be aware of a certain French law that prohibits courier services like FedEx, UPS, DHL, Sequel, etc from using their own-in-house brokers to do the customs clearance as is the norm in other countries. Only French brokers can clear our couriers.
If you are a customer residing in France and wish to shop with us, you would be required to appoint yourself a reputed French broker that is authorized to carry out the needful. Moreover, you will be required to appoint the CHA, who would then take charge of the shipments, do the customs clearance, and organize the delivery to your address in France. The CHA would charge an amount for this that is beyond our knowledge or control and we advise you to check the brokerage charges by getting in touch with the France Customs.
We would also require you to provide us with the choice of French customs brokers that you would choose so that we can carry out the shipping from our end much more smoothly and efficiently.
Please Note: In some countries, for high-value shipments, the local FedEx would require the Tax ID of the buyer for customs clearance. We advise you to provide any valid Tax ID to your local FedEx for easier processing and release of your shipment.
