Opal Pendants
The Famous Anthropologist Louis Leakey discovered the gemstone Opal in a cave in Kenya. An Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of the mineral silica which has a hardness of 5.5 to 6 out of 10 on the Moh’s Scale of Hardness. Mined in the different parts of the globe like Ethiopia, Guatemala, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Brazil and Slovakia; Australia rules the world in providing the largest amounts of Opal Gemstones with a production of 97% of the World’s Opal.
