Iolite Pendants
Also known by the names of “Viking’s Compass” or “Water Sapphire”, an Iolite gemstone is composed of Aluminium, Iron and Magnesium. Belonging to the family of Cyclosilicates, this charming and dazzling gemstone is used as a substitute for a Blue Sapphire. With a hardness of 7 to 7.5 out of 10 on the Moh’s Scale of Hardness, this gemstone was introduced in the World in year 1813. This gemstone is also famous for a phenomenon to change colours when seen in different lights and directions. This phenomenon is called as “Pleochorism”
