White Topaz is a natural gemstone whereas
Cubic Zirconia is produced synthetically from Zirconium dioxide. Both the gemstones are known to be colorless but White Topaz being natural, may have a color variation due to the inclusions. Cubic Zirconia usually looks cleaner due to its artificial origin but White Topaz can sometimes contain visible eye inclusions. White Topaz has a hardness of 8 whereas Cubic Zirconia is slightly above with an 8.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. However, neither of these gemstones is scratch-resistant. Both the stones have a lower price range and are worn as a diamond substitute. The major factors when selecting between White Topaz and Cubic Zirconia are its origin and appearance, therefore, buyers can choose a natural White Topaz or an artificial Cubic Zirconia based on their preferences.
