How To Wear A Hessonite (Also Known As Gomedh)
Publised on Oct 13, 2015
Hessonite (Gomed) is found in light to deep brownish yellow or red colors. From an astrological point of view, Hessonite ensures relief from the malefic effects from Rahu. As per Hindu Vedic Astrology, Rahu is one of the main influencer of success and failure in life, and as a result often leading to depression and instability. An astrological grade Hessonite gemstone clears the confusions in mind and gives stability in life and enhances the positive energy of Rahu.
This gemstone is particularly useful to those who want to succeed in technology & IT related fields, political spheres, and to those who are in speculative businesses. It has also proven to be beneficial to those who are in medical and engineering fields.
How To Wear Hessonite:
The Hessonite stone (Gomed) can be made into a ring or a pendant in silver metal. If you are going for a ring, then it should be worn on the middle finger of the right hand on a Saturday evening during Krishna Paksha (descending moon) at sunset.
To prepare the ring/pendant for wearing, place it at the bottom of a metal bowl and add the following one by one:
1. Ganga Jal
2. Tulsi leaves (Indian Basil)
3. Unboiled cow’s milk
5. Ghee (clarified butter)
Recite the following mantra 108 times to energize the ring:
“ “ Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhroom Sah Rahvey Namah” ”
Keep the ring/pendant for 5-10 mins in the bowl and then it can be immediately taken out of the bowl and cleaned with water and worn.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD HESSONITE:
1. Color should be similar to honey.
2. Smoothness of surface.
5. High specific gravity i.e. it should be heavier than an average stone of the same size.
6. It should not be spotted.
